its a personal opionion, I know a lot of people who like it and a lot of people who dont like it. best way for you to decide is for you to try it for yourself.

at first i didnt like it and almost switched back to 7, but its grown on me and i like it pretty well now

If you already have premiere and are proficient on it, don't bother. Its really not as bad as people make it out to be. It has a lot of drawbacks as far as real professional applications go, but for just making ski edits, its perfectly fine.

was curious to try it out when i got my mac. tried to put a clip in front of another clip with a gap in the middle. clip snaps to the first clip automatically, can't figure out how to turn that stupid shit off. the layout also looked like complete shit. never tried it again, sticking to premiere instead of imovie X

I personally like it a lot just because it easy to use but at the same time you can do a lot with it
