Fostvedt Wins 2014 War of Rails!

Valid question. First off I was filming all day, and when they announced winners, all I had with me was my fish eye.Second off, you are what is wrong with newschoolers because instead of being stoked for Karl and the comp, you only hate on how I took the photo.

and also, I think its still a cool shot. So fuck you.

I am stoked for Karl, as you can read in the War of Rails V thread. It's not a bad shot, but people need to realize which lenses suit which pictures.

Karl goes really hard on 14 DIN plastic toe piece bindings...good for him.

Super pumped on Karl's win. Easily the most deserving of it. Tail 5 transfer was crazy.

Alright this rustled me.

Bud, photography is a fucking art. There is no such thing as correct or incorrect in photography. It is subjective as fuck and not everybody has the same tastes.

And of all fucking pictures to voice your stupid ass opinion on you choose one where the point of the shot is to show who won a contest? Fuck you man

What gives you the right to critique how someone else wants to shoot their photos? Fish eye lenses look sick if done correctly and this photo was done correctly....anyways can't you just give props to one of the best urban skiers out there and who has probably put in one of the best urban segments i have ever seen and a much overdue win for karl

worlds worst rebuttal 2014. makes you sound like a massive gaycunt

good on the athlete, he killed it.

and for the photo, it works but its a little grainy :(

Would've been cool to read about Karl winning in this thread. Speaking of which I missed it, what did crazy karl do?

Instead I learned how to complain about a photo taken with "the wrong lens" for a full page.

Is there a video of the full event (like the full stream that we saw yesterday) out anywhere?

So stoked to see Karl take home the win. I don't think there was a question in anybody's mind about him deserving it. He destroyed every feature on that course with such consistency you would think he was training the course for a week by himself before hand.
