Forward lean on boots

I know this is a repost but the other threads did not help me out..

well I have a pair of Dalbello krypton rampages from 2008 and I'm not sure what I should do with the forward lean.

I've heard forward lean is good for forward skiing obviously and upright stance is better for switch skiing.I've even heard of taking the insert out so it naturally flexes(Im guessing this reduces performance but is very comfy?)

Basically I want to know where you prefer your lean on similiar boots, and Is just taking the inserts out a good idea?

thanks

heres my say. If you wanna ski well, put the forward lean in. It helps load you up into the shins of the boots, hugely increases the responsiveness, and helps keep you out of the backseat. It will also help reduce toe bang.

I have been riding Il moros since they first came out, and when im jibbing, i typically take out the inserts, cause it makes the boot softer, more flexible, and makes you more centered for rails and shit. on jumps, high speed skiing, or pow, I ALWAYS toss um baack in, or else I feel a big lack of control. I also really like the stiff tongues for anything but park. the best part is tho, is its modular, so play around with them and find whats right for you, if you dont like it, put them back. your not gonna hurt um by messing around with them. Just make sure you dont forget the arrangement of the canting cams. everything else comes apart easy.

I have the il moro's and the T halls and I like to have the boot more foward when I'm charging lines but when it comes to park i like to have it as the factory sets it with a "A" spacer I think it comes with.

I have the Dalbello Kingstons same basic boot and I took out the back insert thing. Now its more upright and I like the feel a lot more. Definitely more comfy. I would do it if I were you. I definitely recommend it.

should I bother to put my booster straps on my new boots?Or is the stock strap descent on the kryptons?

first. its important that you can properly flex the boot.

second, Dalbello, such as other freestyle boots keep a more upright stance, with a softer flex.

As long as you can properly flex the boot i wouldnt worry about the forward lean unless you are racing or going for sweeeet edge control in the snow
