I think that you should open up an un-moderated forum. Post a big warning that the forum is not moderated and all that legal shit. That way, people could yell and scream as much as they want in that forum, and you could move inappropriate posts into that.

sorta like how the forums are on overgrow.com.

hmm... someone mentioned this a couple days ago and I quickly turned down the idea... but I don't know, the more I think about it, the more I *think* it could be a good idea.

There still would however have to be some moderation... as in if someone posted porn, or hate-ful (racist) posts, they would HAVE to be taken down.. if they aren't, Newschoolers.com could get the boot...

So then there poses a problem: how much does this un-moderated forum get moderated? And do we want to give the opportunity for people to bitch at eachother openly? I don't know... let me know what you guys think.

why do you need an unmoderated forum here? I thought this site was here to talk about skiing. maybe you could just put a quick link to freeze. itd do the same thing.

i think its not a good idea, lets just keep the site clean, those guys can bitch and complain about posts getting removed, but thats life so they can just suck it up, if people want to post porn or insult people they can do it else where.

if you wanna screw around and post shit, just go to another forum on another site, one whos money to pay to keep it up isnt coming from just a regular persons pocket(like harvey)

I can't speak for all mods, but I don't think that I would moderate that forum at all, simply because I wouldn't even go in there.

but with the seperate forum, you could just bannish any threads that aren't really appropriate but are also not overly offensive. Meh, it's worked on hundreds of other forums and i am sure it would work here too.
