Anyone have the Forsake Pilot or Hiker? Thinking about buying a pair to use to travel in Europe for a month.

Seem perfect for hiking and traveling but wanted to see what people thought about them before I bought em

i have some hikers and they're ok. started wearing them regularly about 2 months ago. comfortable enough (my feet aren't picky fwiw) only thing is the pull on strap ripped on one of them almost immediately and the waterproof "badge" is falling off of one. only aesthetic issues really, but otherwise have been solid, even stayed waterproof when i accidentally stepped in a deep puddle one time
 
Have the Thurstons and use them more than any other of my shoes. They're comfy waterproof and look sick. Bought some Pilots but really haven't used them much can't really go wrong though awesome shoes.

Email Forsake some other guy had the same problem but forsake made it right. They're a really good company u probably got a bad apple.
 
I've got some Hikers and they are almost my favourite shoes I've owned (after my $400 Lowa Ranger GTX hiking boots). I've been wearing them pretty much every day since I got them, about 9 months ago. And as a forestry student, I've spent a good amount of time bushwhacking with them, and they've held up pretty good. One of the waterproof badges is falling off, and the leather on the toes got really scuffed up, way too easily IMO. But I got some Tuff Toes treatment (~$25 CDN) and put that on around the toe box, and now they are super solid. But i really think those were just aesthetic things; rather than functional. They still feel great, are really supportive for uneven terrain and are waterproof. I love them and would highly recommend them. I just think it would be awesome if the leather around the toes was more durable.
 
I dont know about the other Forsake shoes, but i have the Banks, and I love the shoes and they are so far very durable, but the shoes are not supportive at all. I have orthotics and the shoes are very roomy and spacious even when they fit as far as size goes and I have my orthotics taking up space. It is a strong possibility that the fit will become better as the company gets more support, but just something to mention when you are considering buying them. For reference I have a moderate-ish thin foot, flat arch, 10.5 size.
 
I have the thurstons and they're awesome. I can stand in puddles and splash around without my feet getting wet. The waterproofing works really well
 
They're skate shoes with beefed up components. Fine for everyday stuff in variable weather, but the skate design is a deal breaker for me as far as hiking goes.

One thing to keep in mind if you're ordering a pair is that the fit is initially a little snug in the toe box for the Hiker and Pilot. They're made with real leather so they'll stretch to fit your foot as you break them in, but if you have a wide foot I'd go a 1/2 size up.

I am less biased and I think they are rad, I actually reviewed them on NS, check my profile for the review. I also had the problem with the thumb loop pulling out right away (like the first time I put them on on) but I have just lived with it. I love mine though.
 
they rule, we sell em at the shop I work at all the time but I love mine. Although if it's not cold outside they get VERY warm, almost too warm sometimes
