Tanner Hall- Henrik Harlaut- Sammy Carlson- 1st liners: Dudes who do it all, comps, film, whatever. Top of their game, game changers. Generational Talents, Worthy of pro models

Will Wesson- Ahmet Dadali- Mike Hornbeck- Elite dudes, who may be a cut below 1st line based on pure intangibles, but generally have the talent to be top producers in comps and or films

Ian Compton- - Ian Provo- Steve Stepp 3rd liners /role players. Dudes who are specialized at one thing and it do it damn good. Will not reach elite status, but are consistent performers. (AM LEVEL RIDERS)

Tosh Peters- Paul Bergeron-Jf Houle 4th liners/ Solid producers but on the fringes of notoriety/relevence

Dane Tudor- Eric Pollard (1st line D, see above)

Tanner Rainville- Mike Hornbeck (2nd pairing D, sees top minutes, do not produce as much as top line guys

Rory Bushfield-Duncan Adams - See 3rd liners /role players

Canadians should be good at this
 
As a Canadian all I can say is that I think the players should be selected on how good they would be in a fight. Competition scores don't help your right hook.
