For those of you that already have COD Modern Warfare 2

game craze is selling it already in my town. and a bunch of us bought out the 100 sum copies of it. but there are actually a decent amount of people online. the guys at game craze said you shouldnt go online tho cuz xbox will ban you.
 
there was a leaked xbox version online like last week, that's most likely where they got it. and some guy at game craze is making MAD profit off it.
 
na. this is the legit game. in its wrapper and everything. GameStop and other places already got all there shipments, there sitting in the back. my gamecraze sold halo 3 like 4 days eary too. its a sick sick sick sick campaign by the way.
 
dont go online. it doesnt matter whether or not the game is legit or black marketed or downloaded w.e. but i know more about this game (sadly) than anyone on this site and i found out earlier today that all the people that have gone online so far have gotten their xboxes/ps3/computers banned perminantly. just play offline till about monday. beat the game of vet or something. then on monday night (past midnight so i guess tuesday) play online and ill kick ur ass :)))))) yea claim. gamer tag is OcasionalClutch :p
 
haha will do man. im about 1/3 thorough the campaign right now, ethernet cable unplugged. ahhaahh
 
The game legitimately sold you the game, so Microsoft can't do shit to you. If they contact you or anything just say you didn't know when the game was supposed to come out and saw it on the shelf in the game store so you picked it up. If anything, the store will get in trouble, not you.
 
For other people with modded consoles, even if you unplug internet, xbox stores the info EVEN on other gamertags, this game is SUPER hot so M$ will send out a ban wave, make SURE you dont touch it untill its out, or i would say you have about a 90% ban chance.

im not making it clickey sry. but dont listen to them if u like ur xbox. playing online = ban most likely. yes there will be a rank reset when the game is released so its pointless anyways but still... dont do it and get banned. my only warning. if anyone wants a question answered about mw2, pm me. ill only answer stuff i know for certian, which is mostly everything non single player. i know nothing about sp cuz i dont wana ruin it for myself.
 
Haha yeah i'm the kind of kid that doesnt really play for rank, i just play for fun. so i dont care anyway but thanks for the advise.
 
be careful with that even if youre not playing online. you can see what game someone is playing if youre just connected to live but not playing online, XBOX might be looking for ppl playing it early.

but you shouldnt get in shit the store that sold it should
 
i cant wait to play it, looks so awesome. but yea i wouldnt play online untill the 11th unless you want a pretty serious ban

ive spent too much time on infinityward forums, picking out little stuff and putting it togeather. then theres live videos of people playing online and other stuff that pretty much gives away every detail. i know pretty much eveything multi player except maps and new good search routes. the rest of the game im not gona even try to think about till i get it so i dont spoil it. :)
 
When COD World At War came out i had it early and i played online and nothing happened. However, the highscores will be reset on the official release date of the game and your rank will go down and you'll have to start over again but you won't get banned
 
they dont ban you from xbox, they are resetting the stats anyways.

my friend got the case for preordering... just a pic of the case isnt that big of a deal. and if you ethernet cable is unplugged and you're on your account what can go wrong. there is no way to trace you...

the day you sign on live it shows them that you played the game....

it stays on your played game history

There are 6 PEOPLE on my friends list who are playing it right now. I also know atleast 4 people who have been given it to them BY infinity ward. So its not like they will ban you dont worry.

They are reseting the stats for live so dont go all gun ho.
 
yeah their playing it now... ever heard of a ban wave? happening here towards the end of november... they can say bye bye to their account = )

the ppl that got it from infinity ward are fine though
 
There are some mom and pop stores that break street date in the New York area (I am from WA but I know this cause I cruise the GameSpot forums too), some 7/11 will break street date, and sometimes the really REALLY small chains (i.e. not Target, Walmart, Fred Meyer, Gamestop, and others like that) will break street date.

I had my copy of ODST and H3 a week before release and they where wayyy bigger releases.

Do i still have my live account. Yup, did i play online. You bet i did, with the bungie staff too.
