what was your average and what are you majoring in? right now i got 87 from my 3 classes english, advanced functions and tech in first semester, not including spanish as it won't be in my top six. do you think i have a chance at applied science if i pull my average up to a 90 with my 3 classes in the next semester? (physics, calc and chemistry)

Like highschool average? I had an 85 maybe, but that was when provincial exams were still mandatory so most people had lower grades. I got my degree in Kinesiology, which apparently you need a 92 to get in now out of HS.

just lie on your supplementary. fuck that thing. i had a 92% average through math, english, physics, and chemistry and got rejected after a decent amount of bullshit. some friends of mine got in with lower averages because they had or claimed to have had volunteer work and shit. pretty retarded that they base their admissions off of something that is so easy to falsify IMO

coming from a higschool in the states I think my average was a 93. im not sure what they do, but they adjust the grade somehow. Like I think most canadian high schools passing is 50 and F is 49? But at my highschool an F was 69- so they take that into account. but yeah I had a lot of extra curricular shit, my ACT score wasn't THAT high, but I got in. good luck

thanks and ya the scale is different. when i lived in wisconsin A was 90 and above, here in toronto its 80 and above. i prefer the american system, much easier to get 90+what kind of stuff did you put on your supplemental? looking back, i could have revised it a little more but the deadline for scholarship consideration was dec 10th so i didn't have a lot of time

Im in first year applied science at UBC, and UBC looks at the average of your math+2 sciences. So if you're thinking of bringing your average up to a 90, I assume you expect about a 93 in your calc and sciences which would get you in for sure.
