For the life of me I cannot tie all full Windsor knot.

I've never owned a tie before and I've never had to wear one untill today. For the last 20 minutes I've been watching 3 Different videos On how to tie a full Windsor knot. I keep messing up at the third time you need to loop the wide end of the tie Through the knot. Can any one brake that step down for me?
 
im normally not one to play the age card but really? Never owned a tie? youre either a pubeless fuck or a hick ass fuck.
 
just tie a normal knot

i wore a tie every single day to school for 4 years and the only knot i know is the standard one
 
I am 22 and I still cannot tie my own tie. I just keep it tied in a full windsor and put it on like a necklace haha.

Well I can tie a normal one, but I never do because I almost never wear a tie.
 
Generally agree. Hakf windsor or Four-in-Hand are better traditional knots. Unless you're wearing a Hugo boss suit with a small collar, stay away from the full windsor.

And if it's really that hard for you, Four-in-hand is easiest.
 
Don't use and full Windsor. I use half windsors for every type of tie except real thin ties. Very easy tie and very consistent.
 
I wear a tie a couple times a month and I have no idea what knot I tie. It looks crooked/shitty everytime I tie it, but I don't care because I'm a rebel. I pierced my own nipples with a steak knife.
 
I have always been told that the type of knot you should use depends mostly on the tie and the type of collar your shirt has. And if unsure, always chose the smaller one.
 
99% of the the Windsor knot looks goofy, only the Duke could pull them off.

Go for a Four in hand, and make a nice dimple.
 
Well after reading everything in this thread. It actually is an extraordinarily skinny tie, And no one has been able to help me finish this knot. i just walked to my local suit store before i left and they did it for me. cool story right?
 
it depends on the thickness of the tie fabric, the size of your neck, the spread of your collar, all dicates what knot to use.

i've also heard of people wrapping up a couple grams of weed into their windsor knots.
