For anyone who's ever been in trouble with the law.

So I got in trouble for alcohol, possession by a minor and delivery. My court date is March 29th and this weekend I wanna take a trip up to VT (I live in CT). Anyone know if I can do this? Is there any rule prohibiting me from leaving the state?

Go right ahead man dont even worry. They havnt sentanced you to anything yet, so currently your in no trouble. Once you figure out your punishment they will tell you if you can't leave the state.

I was on probation for 18 months and still left the state whenever i felt like it...as long as i was back by my probation meeting date.

varies from state to state, but for an alcohol charge im pretty sure your good.

If you're driving they wouldn't know you left the state unless you're stupid enough to get arrested again.

I had some similar charges and I told the police I would not be able to make my court date because I would no longer be in the state. They just let me change it to the next day. Not the exact same circumstances but worth a shot.

Innocent til proven guilty at it's finest. Live it up until your court day. It's usually easy to deal with the outcome because it's never as bad as you think, and things always get reduced, especially if this is your first problem. Then continue to live it up.
