I'm getting a new board this summer, just wondering what size would I need. I'm 5'10, about 150lbs with intermediate skill level. Also, any brands you recommend? Thanks

you could ride a 134-140, but above 137 or 138 is starting to get a little bit on the overly large size, and under 134 is getting pretty small

im like 154lbs and 6' 1'' and i ride a 137 and it feels pretty good, i used to be on a 141 though and it just felt too damn big....

i do not own a nice wakeboard but my cousins live on a lake and are wicked intense so all i know is shawn watson and other liquid force and obrian boards are the beez neez

Too elaborate on the too small argument, it is fun as hell riding shorter boards but you get into a buoyancy issue from lack of surface area and a larger chance of washing out on landings. You could ride a board that small, if you wanted to, but it will be more strenuous on your body.

such as sick board, i rode the ronix one 142 since i was like 5'10 155, so sick, the extra waist width just gives you more pop and softer landings as long as you can handle the extra length. now this year im 6'0 175 with the 09 one 142 and one boots, SO sick, its at least a full pound or two lighter than the 06/07 stuff, and about a pound lighter than the 07/08 stuff. the new boots are amazing, no plasic under foot, the baseplate is built right into the boot which takes out so much weight, not to mention with the plastic gone theres more room for shock absorption. get an 09 one for sure, provided thats the kind of riding style you like.

SLINGSHOT. They're the best boards out there period, the flex in them is amazing and their boots have heat molded liners and are super comfy, I highly recomend any Slingshot product

I have two liquid force boards and they are both torn to shit while my gf's ronix, that gets the same usage, is still in pretty good shape. I won't ever buy another liquid force.
