For all you non-helmet wearers

No pro snowboarders wear helmets, and their risk of head injury is just as high. stupid kids dont appreciate the concept of God like skills. there are people out there like vanular, delorme, wallisch casabon favre... who dont need helmets... and they are not stupid. not wearing a helmet is the sign of a true ninja. the mainstream newschool culture used to be more like snowboarding but its gradually gotten gayer since then...just my opinion
 
and people like sstealy, just because the pros make it look easy dont assume that you can do it... no offense but kids these days are getting injured because they think skiing is a game and theres no danger...skiing is not a game its serious shit. you cant just slap on a helmet and go huck, you can end up paralyzed. The point is, you kids need to stop going to the hospital on a double front flip and thinking you are a hero, youre just stupid because you didnt respect the danger of what you were doing and because you underestimated how good the pros that you watch in videos truly are. stop calling people who dont wear helmets stupid, if you are to weak to protect yourself in a crash than you shouldnt be in the park period
 
and for real you helmet wearers are idiots because the normal ski helmets dont make any difference in huge crashes, to protect from that you would need a full on motorcycle crashes. Ski helmets dont help any more than a thick hat when the impact speed is above 15 mph i have heard that many times
 
When I used to snowboard I hit a little side booter and didn't see that on the a landing it was mougels, ended up hitting my face full impact on the mougel breaking my goggles and giving me a concussion, I can't imagine what would have happened if i didn't have a helmet
 
I am 100% sure that a helmet protects you 3x as much as a "thick" hat when you have a bad crash at 15 plus mph
 
I dont normally attack people personally on the internet, but im pretty sure you havnt said a single intelligent thing in this thread. I mean, seriously. If you want to not wear a helmet, thats your right and by all means go for it. But at least try not to be so damn ignorant about it. What makes you smarter than the people who have spent their careers designing devices intended to protect a person's head, and all the people in the medical field who adamantly stand behind helmet use? If it was truly that pointless, we would know.
I personally know at least one person who could very well be dead right now if they weren't wearing a helmet, and when they got hurt they had literally just strait aired a jump. You never know whats gonna happen.

What the hell does that even mean? Nobody is insulting, or being bigoted towards "non helmet wearers", at most people are just saying its a good idea to wear one. Also, gay pride? a yuppie festival? are you kidding?

ive always wanted to get to the point where i could be good enough to not wear a helmet. i dont think ill ever follow through with it nor do i think its worth it, especially with the shit luck i have

this was me from like 3 years ago, just going through the park for a mellow 7 and shit can happen. I didn't think it was gunna turn out like that but without my helmet i don't think i would have gotten up after that or been able to ski away from it./static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png
