I got a orange rubber thing with my camera and I have finally figured out what it is used for.

yes i searchbarred with nothing

wow haha I literally just got mine in the mail and opened everyhting up and was like "wtf is this orange thing for?" so i went to the site and saw nothnig and came to newschoolers and typeed "gopro" into the search and this was the first thread I clicked on. thank you for this and thank god i wasnt the only one that had no iddeea what it was
 
damn i bought mine over a year ago and mine didnt come with one =[

but i mount mine kinda unconventionally so idk if it would even work...

i mount mine on the bottom "beak" part of my helmet, right in the vent by the "chin" (this is on a MX helmet btw..) that way i dont have to worry about it getting ripped off the top or side of my helmet by a tree ( i race off-road, not MX)

 
i was asking myself the same thing yesterday. "whats this for". now that that is all cleared up lets go film.
 
I was so happy when i saw that video, my videos have all had the clicking noise and i had no clue what it was from, im looking forward to hearing what the sound will be like without the damn clicking
