Footboards

Search barred for a little while and couldn't find anything so here it goes:

Recently I have been seeing some things about companies having options for rubber footboards (I.e. Dalbello with their Kr pro coming with a "Solid Lug" footboard and a Landing Gear" or rubber footboard) and was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages to having a rubber footboard to someone who aims to ski bigger lines and to take bigger hits than someone who prefers ski feel and a "solid" feel. i don't really know what I'm talking about here hence why I am reaching out, but any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Rigid boards will give you more feel of the snow youre on while the softs will be a lil more absorbing on big hits. Honestly not a huge difference. Pick the the boot that fits the best.

Not a massive difference as japanada said rubber boot board is nice for shock absorption. I doubt you'd really be able to be able to tell a big difference between the two control and performance wise unless you're racing or skiing at a very high level.

A good footbed is more important and will offer more shock absorption and control then a bootboard. So make sure you get some good custom made footbeds.
