Footbeds?...anyone have experience with SOLE?

So in an effort to make my boots (Dalbello Krypton) fit better, I am in desperate need of new footbeds. Does anyone have any experience with SOLE? I searched, but didn't find much.

If so, which is best? Slim sport, softec regular? My boots are pretty snug, so I'm thinking the slim would be best. If anyone has any other recommendations, that would be awesome as well. Thanks

depends on your arches

basically, if you have strong, self supported arches (but still need support) that don't just collapse, you should get fully custom footbeds

if your arch collapses when you step, then when you mold a custom one, its just going to be flat like your foot. so for those people, we (my shop) suggested the preshaped footbed that has a great arch so keep yours from collapsing.

we use sidas snows and comformables. they are awesome

A good footbed is designed to correct your foot, not to let it so whatever. There are a lot of "custom" footbeds out there that are just limp pieces of foam/ rubber. They all suck. The dude making your footbeds should be able to correct your foot with the custom bed, not make the problem worse. Or go get orthotics made.

For non custom ones, try superfeet.

I use them in Solly Falcons and they work great. Superfeet suck for me. Don't mold the SOLEs though, because like people have said they just mold to your foots wrongness. I don't think custom footbeds make any sense and I have had a few. SOLE puts your foot where it should be.

The problem you might have is the Kryptons instep in the shell is fairly large and might get in the way(I owned Il Moros so I know what I am saying). Go to REI and try them and see if they work. Get softec or softec ultra.

I have some SOLE's and they are pretty good. Weird to get used to but after the first couple runs they are really nice.

Custom molded footbeds are great but they are only as good as the person who is molding them. They can be great, they can suck. And even the best ones (I used to make $200 fully tricked out footbeds, some of the best out there) can fall short of some of the newer pre-molded designs. Sole is a good product, but like an earlier poster said don't heat mold them- they will only mold to your collapsable foot. ALINE will be a great option for you. A lot of people mistake it for a simple trim-to-fit but it actually works amazingly well. I've seen it outperform almost every "custom" footbed out there. Plus it won't take up as much room as a SOLE. Either way, get what fits your foot the best. I'm sure everyone on here will post something different, mostly because everyone has different feet.
