Football practices are brudal

yes, football practices are "brutal", and i have "destroyed" myself many times. going in for shoulder surgery #3 in 1 week, all stemming from football

I hope you take english class this fall.... I played soccer in high school and during the two weeks leading up to school we had practice from 630-830 AM where we would run and condition the whole time then practice from 630-830 PM where we would straight up condition for half that time and do other drills the other hour.

by the sentence making not sense i mean the wording is mad awkward. it technically makes sense grammatically

i think the wordies are just backwards. it should say "does anyone else get destroyed while playing football" . at least i think thats whats trying to be said here

xc double sessions, one of the hardest things ive ever done in my life, it would shit on football practices, even most soccer doubles would shit on football,

no.... they really wouldn't
i've had 2 camps already. on my third right now.
2 adays starts august 17th
i would really love to see a soccer player at a football practice haha. don't say you'd like to see me there. i've played soccer and practices weren't really bad at all. put on all the pads and you'll be feeling some pain when you're getting hit constantly. in soccer you run, but don't need to sprint the whole game nor get hit, so it's not that bad. in football everyplay your sprinting in short bursts getting hit on every play. i would really love to see a soccer player in a football practice.

we start 2 adays august 20th, then after a couple days we go up to football camp

Football camp consists of 3 (or possibly 4) adays, with pure hazing in between. in fact that is what football camp has become, a place for the seniors to haze the juniors, nothing else. Then we go back into 2 adays after 5 days at this football camp (which, mind you, is nothing nice like at a college, its bunks fields and a cafeteria). then the season starts, we play like 6 games and then thats it....

fuck, if we put this much effort into lacrosse we would be so much better...

im comparing these at a highschool level, football is a lot of standing around, our xc practiced were the hardest thing ive ever done worst days were were doing around 13 miles, intervals in the morning, and od in the afternoon, and for soccer my teem was most likely in the best shape out of any team in our league, not the best players but in the best shape, the amount we ran and worked would have shit on my schools football double sessions

explain how there is alot of standing around in football..... were not talking about baseball ( yeah i play baseball too )

How come whenever a football player bitches about practice xc runners and soccer players say how hard they have it? Straight endurance, yes xc and soccer is harder, but all around football is way harder.

No one can complain too much though because you are all choosing to play. Its all worth it, just stay health so you can ski once you stop playing these sports.

^^^between drills, in the weight rooms, waiting to do sprints, waining to do bag drills, etc during xc we would work constantly have to do ie. do 6 800 at sub 215 with 45 seconds in between then 4 400 at sub 58, i dont even know all i know was my doubles for xc were the hardest things ever, yea i play baseball and the only time i freally eel like death is after i pitch if its a hard game, you are more mentally worn out than other sports, but im sort of bias ill admit it my xc teem was continously ranked in the top 5 in the state, and our football teem wasnt the greatest, im not gona nock any sports though to each his own and it doesnt matter what you do there are difficult aspects to all practices.

how bout lacrosse?

pads, sprinting, getting whacked with a stick.

its a little bit football and soccer all in one sport

between drills ? you go from one drill to the other. when you have 2 fullbacks it's fucking tireing. in the weight room everyone on earth breaks in between sets, if not you're a moron. we don't wait to do sprints theres 2 groups... linemen and skill players everyother, sorry a 10 sec break. bag drills sure you wait but still it's more demanding on your body.

Just got back from a cc camp. 3 days of 2 a days. More than half being sprint intervals. All equaled out to 56 miles. ouch...

water polo practices are brutal, i gurantee you 99% of football players couldnt finish one practice while 80% of water polo players could do a football practicewater polo>all other land sports...in terms of physical duress and such. (besides boxing)

shitty, i just got back from a run, 8 miles 3 miles of it being uphill.and i just got off a week break because of surgery.
shitty.

this

especialy horn drills when you run at race pace and then the horn goes and then u pick it up for 5 min

football is for tools who like people telling them what to do....a sport with almost no creativity at all.

why does that matter?

im in a pool, sprinting back and forth for 30 minutes, getting the shit beat out of me, while trying to put the ball in the back of the net. you still sweat like a motherfucker, even though it gets carried away by the water

what?

are you serious?

football is like conducting a symphony. If one person fucks up, doesnt time it right, does the wrong thing, everything gets fucked up

to run a successful play, you gotta have 11 people doing all the right things at the right time, and doing what they do the right way. you may go to block someone at the right time, but if you dont actually make the block you fuck things up. you dont understand, because you dont play, but its a fucking master piece if you score a touchdown

how a person runs the balls. many different styles. different tackles.
the biggest one is defiantly how someone runs the ball. moves, power ect.
look at steven jackson, reggie bush, tiki barber.
no creativity ? give me fucking break.

i just did.
and i agree with dubsman. one person fucks up there won;t be a hole, someone dosen't have their correct blocking scheme your full back or RB is fucked.
we run a flexbone offense and it's all about speed and power. and requires NOONE to fuck up.
so please, go to a practice and TRY to even understand whats going on

how do you sprint in water?

I don't really know the rules to be honest

but i've played pickup handball when it was like 80% humidity, i was sweating like a motherfucker. But it was fun. if i could do that, but in a pool where i had the ability to cool off, then it would be even more fun

you sprint by swimming you ass off, you ARE NOT allowed to touch the bottom of the pool at any point during the game. you have to constantly be treading water the entire game

go to youtube and type in water polo, or water polo fights

Ya FB used to suck

our practicesw went something like this

1. Team run

2. tires

3. exercise

4. ground drills

5. hitting

6. plays

Break

7. lifting

8. team run

Thats how it goes when ur coach comes from the Marines. lots of drills and no swearing.

how do they stop you from touching the bottom? is it just a deep ass pool? fuck i didnt know that, i always though you could... that is pretty tough. But it still sounds like tons of fun

like i said, hardly any creativity involved except from the coach.

All 11 players have to do exactly as they're told or the play fails...every play has a plan and everyone has to follow it exactly. That plan is devised by the coaches, who probably got it out of playbook that they didn't even make...

and i do understand because i wasted an entire fall back middle school playing that stupid sport.

ya, most pools are about 10-13 feet deep, but if a pool has a shallow end, refs can tell if youre jumping off the bottom to take a shot, or block one. it's super fun, just one of the hardest sports out there. HUGE in california

seems like you footballers need a spelling lesson...no surprise there.

There is "definitely" some creativity involved with running the ball, but they have already been told where to run and when to run.

The farthest individual creativity goes in football is the jukes made by the runner, that rarely happen, and touchdown dances.

Our coach was a marine

Hes fucking nuts. he tells us storys of like covert missions and some guy getting his brains blown all over my coaches face

and this guy curses so excessively, like the opposite of yours. every other word is a curse

No, not at all

the coach has a general idea of the play draw out for us

anything can change in the game. The person your blocking my go the completely opposite way you were thinking and you need to be able to adjust. QB and FB's need to be able to read the defense and make split second decisions.

your a fucking idiot. there is so much creativity, your just played middle school football and thats why you think otherwise

our coach wants our shirts to say "west valley cross country: a legal form of child abuse"haha, but obviously hed get fired.

typical football stereo type "retards"
yeah your told to get to the touch down. same in soccer your told to score the ball same in water polo your told to score the ball, cross country your told to finish the race. every sport there is an objective you dumbass. so you can say all sports have no creativity if you want. they all have a goal..to have fun and win.

jukes rarely happen ? do you live in a box ? you obviously do not watch football. have you seen reggie bush run the ball ?
