Football Fans - EPL Fantasy League

i dont know, it'll be interesting to see...btw is there a football cult, anyone know? and whats its status?

Decent response so I create the league: "NSFL - Newschoolers Fantasy League."

Either leave your email here and I'll invite you, or sign up and go to "Leagues" then "Join a league" then select private league and enter this code: 465476-127989

Basically you choose your starting 11 and 3 subs incase any of them don't play. You have limited funds so your players must be chosen wisely. You get points based on how well your starting 11 does each gameweek. For example a cleansheet = x amount of points for goalie and defender, scoring = 6 for defense, 5 for mid, 4 for forward, etc.

Whoever has the most amount of points at the end of the league wins.

You're aloud to transfer one player each gameweek, any addittionals comes at a cost of points.

OP I'm building my team ow, but it's a bit difficult. is there anywhere i can look to see whos done the best or stats or something? I saw the stats they give you, but they didnt really help

To join the league, either:

1. Leave your email here and I'll invite you.

OR

2. Go to "Leagues" then "Join a League" then enter 465476-127989 for Private Leagues.

Sent both of you invites, I dont know why the first one didn't work Peter.

I think you may actually need to type the code 465476-127989 in, not copy and paste.

Yes it's free, winner gets a trip to see a 2013 Prem game, and there are monthly winners who get prize packs. That's for the overall league though.

About 2 weeks until EPL starts, only 3 people actually in the league so far. Every that was interested just sign up and type in the code.

I'll send invites as well when I get back from vacation later Friday, but you have to make sure you sign up first.

i wanna see everyone elses lineup, i have never played fantasy soccer before so i might be fucking up hard but i have no idea, i spent more money on my midfield than my attack, which might have been a bad idea, but we will see who wins, dont get too cocky

I do it every year and I tend to be decent at it, but a lot of it has to do with luck, and of course making sure you transfer players if they are in horrible form, so you have to keep up to date.

But hopefully we get a lot of people in the league make it more competitive.

Feer-the-deer, I invited you tell me if it works or not.

i'd join, but every time i've played epl fantasy...i make it until about october then get too busy/forget to change my lineup. I always end up finding out half my players are injured 4 weeks after they went out, etc.

Sort of defeats the purpose if everyone else can copy your ideas/roster, but theres a forum once you join the league so you can do that there if you please.

Pretty much stick with mainly the same team throughout the whole season unless injury or very poor form, but I figured a friendly competition among NS would add a little incentive to keep up.

I'm in.....done it a few years now.

As for suggestions/help for newcomers.

1) You need at least one big name striker (Rooney, RVP, Tevez, etc.) and one mid table but quality striker (Bent, Dempsey, etc) so that you know your strikers are scoring each week.

2) You can fiddle with your line up and play stuff like a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3, etc....

3) Transfers are huge, and worth it even if they dock points as you'll make it up.

4) Watch injuries and upcoming games, stack your team if you feel a serious beat down.

5) Enjoy!!

Ill invite you when i get home tmw. As for anyone else that hasnt got an email, let me know because i have invited you but as i said before you may need to register first before i can actually invite you to the league.
