Foot wide pvc mounting

So I have a big old pvc pipe thats about a foot in diameter.

Anyone have any ideas or tips on how to mount it? I don't want to set it on the ground like i see a lot of people doing. I was thinking about putting 2 2x4's in a V shape on the bottom, and then mounting it from there. Any ideas?

-Thanks

just mounting it on maybe a 2x6 would be good i wouldnt think ud need to do anything different than for a smaller pipe except maybe more screws

a 2x6 would have the same mounting surface area as a 2x4, the single point at the bottom. I'm looking for ways to make it sturdier by mounting more than just the bottom .5cm that's touching the wood. i always see these types of rails or corrugated pipe sitting on the ground...

any ideas?

-thanks

your idea sounds good, just make the v out of 2x4s and then attach that to whatever base you think will work best

Just make an X out of some 2x4s, like three of them, put two on the ends, one in the middle and connect them somehow.

i did this on a pipe with a smaller diameter, the only prob is make the tops of the x as small as possible, you dont want to catch the edge of your ski on it
