If i use an FM transmitter to play my mp3 player in my car, is the sound quality diminished or is it all a matter of reception?

also, i recently sat on my mp3 and busted the lcd screen. where should i go to get it fixed, because im not ready to drop another $300 on a new one

it could be a bit of both.

some transmitters are sub par while others are a lot better but you have to pay a bit more for them. im not sure which one i have but sometimes it doesnt work that well and sometimes its great. maybe it has more to do with the stations. can you pick any station you want or are you limited to three or so?

I know what you mean i have had 2 dif models and both sucked in my opinion...idk if its a bad technology or if i was just using it wrong but i always received bad sound quality and reception. I think they just suck i use a tape deck model now u just plug it in your ipod and into ur tape deck and the sound is great 100x better than a transmitter

So if you still have a tape deck in your car i say go that route~~

is it an ipod?

if so, head to your local apple store and talk to them about it. i was at the store one day getting mine fixed and a kid came in with a brand new one with a cracked screen and wanted it fixed. the guy told him he couldnt fix it but wanted to know what had happened to it. the kid was straight up about it. told him it was in his pocket, he bent over and it just sorta busted. the guy reached under the counter and whipped out a new one for the kid only because he didnt try selling him some bullshit story, which i thought was awesome of him

i dont have a tape deck, i might just get a new one with an aux plug anyway though. im getting a sub soon so i am going to have to anyway
