Fly fishing around govy?

Bringing my rod up with me this spring but I have no idea where to go. I've heard the Deschutes is great for producing big steelhead but thats about it. Just wondering if there are any good river/stream spots fairly close to town?

There's a huge fly fishing store in Welches. Maybe stop in there and they should definitely know.

Trillium lake possibly?!?!? I know there is a hatchery down in Sandy. There are some really good size creeks just off the Sandy dump that I have had success in. There is a whole ton of lakes in the area like Timothy, Laurence, Harriet, Olallie. I don't do much fly fishing so I couldn't tell you much. But you could always try those areas.
