Flotation

will a ski that is 93mm underfoot have better flotation than a ski that is 88mm underfoot? if so, is it a big difference, a small difference, a noticeable difference, ect;

Like no difference at all thats only half of a centimeter. you would need like 100mm to start to feel a difference

the bigger the waist, the better the flotation

88 and 93 isnt an enormous difference. yes it will make a difference, but its not like a 115 waist... 93 will give you good flotation in some powder, like 8 inches (maybe more?), but i wouldnt ski in like waiste deep pow in them

Also waist width is not the only thing to consider. tip and tail width, rocker and where it is mountd will affect the float.

judging by your account name and the dimensions mentioned, are you talking about anthems and afterbangs? if so, neither are pow skis, but id imagine the anthem would be a little bit better having the larger nose, tail, and the .5 cm in the waist. but like i said, both arent really intended for pow. check out the line blend, thats better for pow, and still sick in the park.

I think I will just say that Anthems are NOT a pow ski, since that's obviously what you are asking. Anything will float if you go fast enough though, but soft, symmetrical park skis suck dick in anything technical.
