Flip Revert?

I've see Fujas do a 90 revert 270 but I had a funny thought while talking to my friend about it. Has anyone ever heard of or seen someone revert a flip? Like start a really slow back then when you're about to reach invert or even just parallel with the ground throw their weight forward and land reg again?

CLIPS

the reason that that hasnt been done, i think is because it is scarier to try a flip revert than a spin revert. it is also a shit ton more dangerous

someone should try it into pow. i like the sound of a superman straight air. worst case scenario is landing on your chest into powww.

im pretty sure that this is one trick that you just straight up cant do.

wakeboarders/wakeskiers can throw them. called a raley. you have to use the rope tension to pull yourself back down.

Hmm well I decided that a backflip revert would be easier and safer..

Worst comes to worst you'd land on your back or maybe shoulders. Seeing as you wouldn't go for it full on first time.

Lay out a slow back (kinda like you're just intending to land on your back) then curl your upper body + throw arms forward + legs back =.... maybe?

If I can get moved to the new house soon I'll try and see what happens on the foam pit.

Ive done it on a tramp.
1: Place friend at your side.2:Start lincoln.3:Get halfway there.4:Friend grabs feet and shoves them back toward the ground:5:Place feet under body.6:Stomp.7:Afterbang.

I did it in Skate.

I've seen a cork zero spin, just looked for quite a while to post it but no dice, anyone?

don't know if its the same kid, but i saw this done in a tramp edit a little while ago, it was pretty dope/looked like it'd be super easy since all you do is lean to the side then your bud does all the work to get you back right side up

You can slip into the backseat a little and then have you ski tips help you back up when you land, but there is no way you can fall forward or backward 90ish degrees and then come back to land. Its called momentum and its all wrong for that trick.

Switch misty 5s however have no momentum problems and people should do those, along with delormes "cork" zero spins which are probably the closest to what the op was talking about you can come.

but seriously, surely impossible?

someone try it anyway.

i feel like a revert misty 5 would be possible. when u go off the lip dip ur right shhoulder slightly, then rip the misty 5.

Travis Steeger did a switch backflip 180 to frontflip. i know it doesnt counts as what your are triing to find, only that i thought it was cool to remember him :)

Idk exactly how it'd work but I know how I'd like to think it'd work haha.

But yeah, I haven't gotten to the tramp yet to try, gonna basically just see if I can jump and lean like I'm gonna land on my back fully laid out then just before peak of the jump I'll throw arms forward and tuck up, curl head towards chest, pull legs under me, all that good stuff. Like throwing a front flip, cept in the air.

I've never seen anyone do it soo.. idk. Even if it works it'll probably look lame haha!

I have no footy of it. But like that kid said it was in an edit a week or two ago. I searched but couldnt find it. If someone finds if I will love them.

I'd rather land on my front on snow than my back.

your spines in the back dude, snap that shit and youre done. my uncle broke his spine falling on his back climbing up a tree to get a football. he was paralyzed from the waist down

and what about an airbag?

landing on your back in powder is far safer than your stomach. On your back, you fall and it's a poof, you might get the wind knocked out of you, and that's it.

You land on your stomach, and there's a very high chance that, since you're going head first, you'll get reverse-whiplash: head gets planted in the snow and your body jackknifes over it. Easiest way to break your neck is to land headfirst in powder.

L....O....L....

That was... traumatizing.

Also, yeah, def landing on your back is way safer than landing on your chest. Didn't honestly think of reverse whiplash but I was thinking about back injury. Over-arching the back is a lot harder to do when landing ON your back simply because it flexes further forward than it does backwards and so a backflip revert would be best.. that was my thought on it.

Momentum-wise, I can only assume that seeing as reverted spins are completely (obviously) possible, I think that it just will require ENOUGH momentum to counter the backflip and excess enough to land upright again. If you watch Pep he like, REALLLLLY throws himself into that revert. He just spun super slow to a 90 and almost stopped at that then HUCKED himself to the left and spun back to switch then all the way around completing the 270. I think it'll just take a ton of force behind the front throw to correct it.
