Flip advice

So i want to try a backflip. i can back on a tramp and gainer off diving boards and stuff, but i feel like a flat would be easier. i can do both of these on a tramp, including dub flat. so does anyone have any advice on which flips i should do? only thing i can do is a front but front flips but they suck and i can rodeo (i think). ive never done any backwards motion flips so they just seem sketchy

If you have to ask NS about which flip to try you shouldn't. Seriously. If you want to do one, you should just send it to a soft landing and see what happens.

Wouldn´t fully agree, it never hurts to ask, however I can understand the logic behind it... Just go for whatever you feel more, based on your description I´d say you could land both

Yeah, basically anyone who knows how to do a backy without skis and has gained air awareness on skis by doing 3s and such should stomp a backflip in a few tries (took what, 6 tries? for me). Okay, now to answer OP:s question about which is easier: My 1st backflip: 6th try. My 1st flat3: 1st try. Even grabbed a japan for a nanosecond. But a few friends of mine have really eaten shit while trying to learn flatspins, while most have stomped backflips without getting injured.

Backflip is easier than flatspin but in my opinion a little more scary. I did flat 3 before I did backflip, and I have only ever had one crash on a flat 3 so they are pretty easy. Whichever you choose you just have to commit and youll get it fine

Get some snow and try whatever you're comfortable with. Or do them all. Just remember commitment is the biggest part of flips, especially the backwards rotation ones. If it's an off axis rotation make sure you visualize it and under stand the rotation before you try it. How you throw, where you lean, where you look with your head, where you can spot the landing etc.

Good luck. Backflips are easy when you get them down and they're fun as hell/ a crowd pleaser.

Anything you can picture in your head, just send it.

Backflips are the easiest trick of all time. Seriously just try one and commit fully and you'll stomp it the next time.

Frontflips are an easy takeoff but are super blind when you're in the air so you won't be as comfortable while you're flipping.

Switch backflips are more comfortable in the air than frontflips but are harder to set.

Haven't done switch frontflips yet, not planning on it, seems super sketchy.

You can do a dub flat on a tramp and haven't even tried a single on skis yet? Just huck it man
