Flex your rides

Weather was good so took out my evo 6 TME LHD today, dropped by a store to pickup some oakleys/smith helmet on 50% off, and found some skis at 70% off and $10 look SPX 12, too good to pass up. Gave me a reminder I need to get a ski rack for the evo, ironicly kinda hard to find since the car is now so old, but looks like some universal stuff might fit, need something that wont kill the paint.

I feel like a kid driving it, huge wing, FMIC, turbolag, check!

Whats the most fun/out of place car you have skied with? I had 2 cars at service, and no summer tires for the last, so ended up borrowing a 911 from a friend who has studded tires and ski rack, definetly most fun trip to the mountains yet as it was dumping, but still soft enough snow not to damage the car under.

Perfect to bomb around town and explore the mountains. Looking at getting a ML 350 for highway / roadtrips, the Jeep sucks above 60 mph.

I'm assuming you are a grown adult. You should have passed that up.

Most out of place car I've driven to skiing was my first car, a manual 2000 Honda Accord that was on it's last leg, paid $2k for it. It did not want to make it up Loveland pass, but after a slow but high revving battle we finally made it. Coasted in neutral all the way down the backside, thank god it was spring because if there was any snow on the road I wouldn't have made it due to roasting the cheap all seasons learning to e-brake drift before school all winter. My dad told me it would be slow going but my dumbass 16 year old self was stubborn and had just put a new stereo in and wanted to jam out.

pass that the next $10 binding deal you find on to me man

nothing wrong with the SPX 12 that thing boasts even more elastic travel than the pivot

baller to bring a plane, trucks are rare here, I do have this for throwing shit in the back off when needing space. Keyword, twinturbo v8.

My first car was a 86 camry 2.0 GLi, friends grandparents needed help to drive it to the wrecker, I asked if I could have it instead of wrecking? sure. I had that car for...4? years and 80.000 miles. Only trouble was city driving at night, everybody thought I was a "taxi"

[tag=158143]@Willgum[/tag] jeeps are awesome, but yes somewhat lacking in highspeed department.

[tag=132227]@skithemidwest[/tag] thoose FJ are super rare here, never seen one ever, only when in the US.

Funfact, 90% of my ski days this season has been with an EV?! Its a weird thing, but kinda likeing the economy of it.

I want a older G to replace my FJ whenever it dies. I have a neighbor who lifted his. Looks slightly silly but he said it does really well off road. I have tried to get him to come play with my FJ but our schedules never line up.

I daily a MK6 Golf R. Just put coilovers on it this winter. Fun as hell. A solid 3 inches of clearance, AWD, 6-speed manual. I've had the car for the last 4 years. Pretty much stock as far as power mods go, hoping to pick up an intake for an early bday present for myself and then go Stage I if Integrated Engineering has a sale. After that it is exhaust and stage II but I might need to replace my clutch :/

I daily the Fiesta and use the FJ for trips or fucking off.

I love the aesthetic of the FJs. My friend in high school had an FJ40. I think it was a '76. Never drove the thing. Such a cool vehicle.

not my exact car but same model/colour. brought it in the country last march and it's been a blast. i picked up a set of bc racing coilovers and some rays 57dr's last summer. also found an ARC intake for a good deal that will go in this summer along with a tune and other goodies.

Where are you from? Not the US obviously

And that would be why. Not gonna lie I am super jealous. The Forester STI is the ultimate ski machine. The best us freedom folks got was the 2.5XT

Loved my XT. Died with 227,000 not easy miles on it. Friend of a friend bought it and now its used as a "rally" car.

It was the closest you could get. And it had the same long block as the Sti just with weaker cams.

Right now I’m trying desperately to find a clean one with a 5 speed

How’s the FJ ride? Thinking of getting one to daily

Really well. It's been in my family since new so I have ridden in all of its variations. Stock ride was pretty good but I really like my Toytech Boss 2.5 with resi's. MPG's suck but I have full skids.

234k miles with really no issues. My great uncle was the original owner and took it all over the US. I bought it with 94k miles and have done the same.

Wouldn't recommend one that has been lifted more than 3 inches unless it was done for long travel. Most of the 6 inch lift kits are cheap crap.

Here in a few years I will be looking for 2014 TRD model with lowish miles to replace it.

If I’m feeling bold (know it wont snow aka spring skiing) I take my G37 out skiing. 500whp with a clutch LSD (behaves very much like a welded diff). It’s supercharged so at least there’s much less chance of spinning out if you get on the gas too hard unless you’re rapping up the RPMs, but always an exciting time.

Renting an Evo X off Turo when we go to a friends wedding this weekend. Sofa king stoked
