Flatspin?

It's like a combo of a loop and a backflip so you pretty much should have both down. Then just throw for backflip but dip one shoulder.

Wouldn't that qualify for pretty much any trick? I mean you may as well say "don't land on your face, it'll feel better"

Also, threads. Wouldn't mind learning flatspins this year.

while trying to flatspin on tramp, i always do a rodeo 5 instead and can never just get a flatspin around... tips?

turn like 45 then throw a back flip all in one motion, you can also combine a lincon and backflip (makes it look better but the other way is easier to learn). Also if you throw a japan in it makes it look more like a flat

I personally throw my right hand to my left heel while bringing my left shoulder backwards... Once you try some, you'll get it down and the motion will become more natural. I recommend trying some on tramps/diving board first!

Flatspins on the tramp for me are either rodeos or bios, I can't really get between the two.

On skis, I learned backflips, then flat 3(wackflip), then started trying rodeo 5s which ended up looking really hucked because I would absorb the lip so much when I took off. I started to try popping off of the lip before I set my rotation which is what really helped me. Ski up to the jump with your knees bent, and sort of jump as you take off the lip, and spin or throw your shoulder forward horizontally(right shoulder if spinning left). The amount I pop and if I try to keep my head up during the trick are what differentiate a rodeo and a flatspin with me. Also, if I grab above the binding I always do a flatspin. Grabbing japan usually makes a rodeo, but I find japan the most fun. If you set the trick right and commit, you should bring round a flat or rodeo 5 just fine. Hope this helps

How hard would you guys say it is to progress from a backflip to a rodeo 5? From what I can tell (really just by watching videos) its as simple as popping while leaning to the right, setting a spin to the left and backflipping once you're at about 45 degrees. Kind of like at 2:05 in this video:
