i was wondering if anyone had some good tips for flatspins.

every time i try a flat 3 i try looking over my shoulder and hucking to the side but it always ends up more as a shifty backflip. when i flat 5 as soon as i open up for the landing i sketch out and usualy fall its not that i cant land switch i just have a hard time setting the rotation so i cant get a controlled spin.

depending on which way you go your going to want to fall back and out to a side (diagonaly) and watch your feet start to float up into your field of vision. try not to shifty yourself or have seperation in the rotation of the uper and lower body cause this will make you fall out of axis and slow down your rotation. just have a relaxed and popped set and the trick will come around nicely to your feet.

when you start to bring it around at the 5 bend your knees and widen your feet to shoulder width and set it down looking over your favoable shoulder.

all i can say other then that is to have a solid set and flip as one solid form (without the seperration at your torso)

good luck with them hopefully this helps!

does anyone know where the giant, helpful, 1000 word tome that turpin wrote about flatspins is? if theres anyone i want to listen to on the matter, it's probably turpin.
