Flatland Grabs

no i'm not, grabs onto rails and off rails are nice imho and grabs while on rails as well...+to get back on flatland grabs, if snowboarders do like tailgrab nosepresses, why shouldnt we do those?
 
step 1: buy a notepad and a pen

step 2: bring it with you everywhere

step 3: next time you have an idea like this write it down on your notepad

step 4: read it quietly to yourself while slowly realizing how stupid what you wrote down really sounds

step 5: be happy your realized this before you went and posted it somewhere and looked retarded

step 6: goto bst and buy my crowbars.

at first i thought this was a terrible idea, but after watching that theres definitely some potential. yet another way to avoid the whole spin to win deal.

As far as your idea, I think with some rocker skis it would be sick to go into a jump flexing the nose of one ski and do a laid out front flip.

I have never really understood why people hate on other people....why does one persons style matter to another persons?
 
I think this 'early grab' or whatever has some great potential, the early nose 180 was super sick.

However, the thread creator here was talking about something completely different. Which is cruising down a groomer on one foot while holding the other foot up in a grab. Which, to be honest, is retarted.

It really seems like so few are willing to be open to something a little different until someone that's officially got the cool guy seal of approval co-signs it.
For example, when Gagnier brought one footers to the table (to the masses at winter X anyway... not trying to set off a debate as to who actually did them first), people fucking shat on them. Now that people like Ahmet, Wallisch, Compton, etc. are doing them—they're cool.
If more people took risks and set out to carve their own niches and styles as opposed to solely taking their cues from superduper cool pros/ns hero ams, this sport would grow by leaps and bounds.
 
The point is if you rip hard enough on skis you can make taking in the ass midair look cool. And posers will start doing that too. Except they'll just be taking it in the ass, which is pretty god damned gay.
 
i could see someone grabbing uncrossed true tail as they carve one footed into a corked spin off a jump, and then as soon as they are off cross it and keep grabbing until just before they land. it'd probably be hard as fuck but i think it would look sick
 
the people shitting on it just dont have any imagination and are completely uncreative. theyll be kicking themselves when it blows up and they find themselves doing them haha
 
I do some, skiing switch I do truckdrivers, right before jumping onto a box I will do a quick blunt, and I like to do kang and mute ski slides on the box, its fun.
 
so progressive... this guy should ride with pep and pollard... bring these flatland grabs to the BC...
