Flatirons Boulder ski descent

smooth rock slabs at 6000 feet are probably so rarely skiable that they havent been. a compareable line in salt lake is medusas face on mt olympus, which sits at like 8500 feet and gets skied by about one person every 4 years

the only time it could have been skied was when boulder got that 4 foot storm, even then there is no saying the snow just didnt fall off of them

I will give 2 grams of Coke, 100 dollars and I will personally suck shit out of their asshole..to the first person to do it.

Ok......well....

Are you asking because you need to fulfill this quote from above....

"I will give 2 grams of Coke, 100 dollars and I will personally suck

shit out of their asshole..to the first person to do it."

Seriously, though, just some crazy Boulder people who found the right conditions and went for it. Totally badass.

Chautauqua Park at the base of the Flatirons was a ski area back in the 60s, rope tow and all. So someone has probably charged the flatirons at some point. Pretty nuts.

i've skied chatauqua a couple of times, its pretty fun, there were a couple jumps me and some friends hit

As seen in iggys post the flatirons have been skied. That was during the xmas 2006 storm. My house in Boulder was chest deep in the back yard. Once in a lifetime conditions to ski the flatirons.

it was ridiculous. We were skiing shots up by NCAR and in the Pine Brook Hills area. Epic for sure.

it looks like a bitch climb but medusas face looks like a bigger challange, but u could have a first decent under your belt

I was told it was done top to bottom in the '70's... huge heavy wet storm, the snow acutally stuck. They skied down Flatiron 1 and there are pictures somewhere. Could be a rumor, but it'd be awesome if they did. I'll be out climbing one of the Flatirons on Friday.
