FKS 140 question.

Looking to pick up a pair of FKS 140's. I have Moments PB&J with a 101 waist. Should I get the 90mm brakes or the 115mm brakes. Thanks.

If you're buying new, definitely do the 115s. If you're buying used, you could do the 90 and bend them out to 100 easily.

There's no way the 90 mm brakes are going to fit without bending. They barely fit over my 92 mm skis.

Personally, I'd get the 90s and bend them, because that way they'll be snug and close in to the binding, rather than hanging out the side waiting to get caught. If your brakes hang out like that the first time you mess up a switch landing you'll snap the brakes. But that's just me, I've bent a few brakes and I'm comfortable doing it.

I don't recommend bending brakes for fks, since they are part of the structural design of the binding you can cause the whole binding to fall apart and they are a pain in the ass to put back together

Thats why your suppose to take them apart to bend them. Theres a thread on TGR about bending and its step by step. I've bent 5 pairs now and you just need patience.
