FKS 140 / Look Pivot 14 binding questions??

So I want to get FKS bindings for my skis, but have a few questions first.

I only weigh 120 pounds, 5ft 5in, and use a size 25.5 to 26 boot. As a result my din will be somewhat close to the min rating. Is this a bad thing. I have always been told you want to be in the middle. Also, I was wondering about the adjustment for different boots. For instance, from a salomon ghost 26 to a spk pro 25.5 has a shell that is going to be +9mm difference.

Thanks

I really hope you don't own both a pair of Salomon Ghosts and a pair of SPK Pros...

I also wouldn't go for FKS/Pivot if I were you height/weight.

when looking for a new binding, the din you will be riding at should be in the middle of the din range available on the binding for the best performance. being at the low end may leave the spring too loose, resulting in pre-releasing.

your height, weight, and boot size is similar to mine and im riding at a 6.5 din with no problems.

I would suggest a 4-12 din binding like the px12 or pivot/fks 120 if you want that style binding.

this. With your stats there is no reason for you to need 14 din bindings unless you're skiing at a very high level
