Fixing edge with super glue?

ive ripped about an ince of egde clean out with no damage to the base just got a little gap. could i use superglue to fill the hole in to stop any water damage to the core or will the superglue eat away at anyof the materials inside , i got no clue? any useful info would be great

2 points: superglue reacts with surfaces, it's used to glue stuff together effectively but it's much less adequate for 'filling' stuff ....second: super glue is generally speaking quite brittle and will shatter and break out of your repaired spot ...

as mentioned epoxy glue will be much better, especially the slow curing marine grade epoxies since these tend to remain flexible and 100%waterproof

thats what i thought, i havent actually left the mountain since november and cant buy anything for myself so my boss brings up everything we need and he cant seem to understand the need for expoy was just wondering if i could make do with what i got.

It didn't seem too. The edge was separated from the sidewall so I just filled the gap, didn't have a clamp so I let it settle in then chiseled off the bubbles after it dried. I used gorilla super glue. good enough
