Fix your Full tilts for 5$

Okay, so recently I broke the buckle on my full tilt drop kick. After contemplating buying a new middle buckle for 20$ plus shippingnd and handling, I realized that Full tilt got their design from the well known raichles. Later on in the day I headed to the nearest second hand store and found them for 5$!!!! When got home I quickly disassembled both boots and replaced the clip. This new/old clip works sooo much better, the clip opens and closes perfectly and holds at high tension. This clip is exactly the same as a brand new clip!! Ski companies these days are becoming more and more expensive for absolutely no reason other than to make money. In the end it comes to a matter of who likes what. Mahalo Buds!

If you call Full Tilt and tell them your buckle broke, they will send you another buckle. I called them, they didnt even ask for a receipt or anything. I didnt have to pay for anything. Then a week later I got a plastic buckle and titanium buckle in the mail.

after i broke up every buckle on my FT's i gave up on FTs and bought real boots.

Get on my level braj!

Why cause they don't look as cool?

Guess what, you don't buy boots for the looks, you buy them to fit so you can actually ski in them.

wrong, I buy boots that look good, and fit.

Not liking the way something contrary to popular belief is a legit reason to not buy something. It just gets silly when that is the only thing you consider.

With boots how they look should have no influence what so ever. It's how they fit. If you turn down a great fitting boot just because it's not cool looking there is something wrong.

I disagree, I wouldn't ever buy anything that I think is completely ugly.

You can find boots that fit well, perform well, and look cool. To say the way something looks has 0 influence what so ever is just silly. Yeah you shouldn't buy boots that don't fit but there is nothing wrong with the look of your boot having somewhat of an influence.

You wouldn't buy the most souped up car and then put a rusting ugly ass bright pink body on it.

^ if it was something like skis I would agree with you as most skis can work to an extent to people but boots are not that easy.

For example we stock 25 differnt men's boots. Of those prob 2 maybe 3 could work for you. If you rule out one of those boots because you don't like the look you are serverly limiting your chances of finding a good fit.

Having things that you like the look of is great but you should not hinder your self just to look cool.

My boots too! Love them, and Ive had 2 pairs of FTs, a pair of kryptons and plenty of langes and head 'race' boots.

Ive had many boots I couldn't stand the look of, all red FT hotdoggers, 2 pairs of baby blue and powder blue lange comp 130s. It really is about fit guys! Gotta have the good foundation.

You're a fancy girl! Skiing is now fashion eh? Who gives a fuck what your boots look like, they're half covered by your snow pants!

I don't really know what to say to your second bit, it doesn't really make sense lol

^ don't feel too bad you prob have much better footbeds. Those surefoot ones are not great. The liners are nice though so it may be a tie depending what type of footbeds you use.

I've said it before and i'll say it again Full Tilt has garbage costumer service. I had to send my boots in, and for over 4 weeks i didn't get to use them, then when i got them back they broke again.

Lol nah nah I've seen the full tilt design video a tonne of times before I was just curious if they would have the same drill holes and just as I thought they do. After a $hit tonne ofof years that passed full tilt and raichle are still the same shit, It just amazes me you know? And did you notice how fast tthe thread changed from my subject to some suicidal arguement x)

how did you change them when the Rechels( or how ever you spell that) are riveted in and not screws like fulltilts ?? drill them out im guessing?

Unfortunatly you have to either drill it out or saw it off compromising the whole structure. But its not like youre going to use the raichles for park seeing as they have a plastic sole instead of a rubber one on the full tilts.

I was at my local hill and this guy came up to me and was like "what kind of boots are those?" so i said full tilt and he goes "those look a shit ton like my old ski boot brand called raichles that i sold away" he was completely clueless about full tilt

no one cares what your boots look like. I honestly couldn't tell you what boots the people I ski with most even have. I have never noticed and I really don't care to learn.

To be fair FT has good buckles available if you just buy their newer ones instead of the cheap plastic ones. People just like to spend less up front but probably end up paying triple what they would of if they just bought the new aluminum ones.

Out of curiosity, how many boots have you owned? Surefoot fucked my feet up and I have a permanent bone spur now because of the shitty fitting job they did and shitty work trying to correct it. Maybe it was just the specific shop location though.

3 shells 8 liners 3 foots beds in 2 seasons with them...created biggest bones spurs those got infected this past January and broke my tib in march because of poor fitting....old timers in whistler call em sore foot for a reason...the boys in whistler are awesome and always try to help I just don't trust surefoot product or guarantee because I wasted far to much time and money on them....maybe for the 30 days a year skier
