does anyone else struggle fitting in when they first start a job. doesn't that suck when you are like the new guy and you dont know what the hell do with yourself.
Just act willing to do stuff. Talk to people about what it's really like. Everyone starts out wanting to be employee of the year until you realize unless you're in a career job, you just gotta get by and cash your checks.
luckily i work at a bike shop so at first everyone would just shit on me when i didnt know something but it lightens up the mood and gives you a chance to show them that you have a good sense of humor which is helpful to have at a job
don't be over excited to work or overly cheerful, i worked with a few guys like that, they annoyed the shit out of everyone cuz they were more concerned with acting helpful and being positive than doin shit right.. like said above just do a good job and cash that paycheck.
Yea man this shit sucks b/c everyone working there already knows each other and are already friends; Kiss their asses and maybe smoke them up if they do that shit, that will get you in.
be yourself man, and be willing to do things that aren't asked of you. Volunteer to do some stuff you don't really want to because it's the easiest way to get people to like you and for you to get the whole "pay your dues" time period over with.
