Fitness Professionals

Is anyone here a fitness professional? (Personal Trainer, Physician, Massage Therapist, Nutritionist, Physical Therapy, etc.) I am currently working on my first certification to become a personal trainer (ACE Personal Training) and starting to look at all the other certifications I want to earn once I get this one. I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same kind of field.

My wife is a personal trainer. She has a ton of clients so it makes pretty good money on the side, but she's also a very skilled all around athlete so it's very easy for her to attract business of all levels. Anyone can take that easy test and get a certificate, but we've seen plenty of people not make a dime because they have nothing to offer. Make sure it won't be a waste of money and time for you before you commit to it, as it's not only about getting clients but keeping them as well.

That is half of what the whole course is about, not only getting the client but keeping them sticking to the program.

Where do i go to get certified because frankly...im hella jacked and know a lot about working out and love doing it so i would love this to my job.

yeah i'm a personal trainer. i do it on the side, because i'm in school currently.

ACE is the way to go, it's pretty widely accepted and covers all the essentials

hahahahahaha being "jacked" as you call it and knowing a lot about working out doesn't necessarily mean shit about being in good shape...also not sure if serious

graduated with a degree in kinesiology, i could have gone on to certify in training but im going more the medical route. thinking about taking physiotherapy or occupational therapy in the future. dont know yet. trying to gain some practical experience in the meantime..

Personal trainers help in improving your fitness and after measuring your strengths and weaknesses with fitness assessments, find the right way of fitness plan to meet your fitness goals.

i have a BS in exercise science, but applying to physical therapy schools, i do NOT want to make a career out of training, id much rather have a normal work schedule and if i wanted just train on the side, btw im "HELLA JACKED"

No, but seriously, when it comes to training would you want and trust as a pt a. a shredded 20-something yo trainer. or b. a fat or out of shape 20-something yo trainer.

Your call. No I'm not gonna mention out of shape older pt's because they could still have the knowledge from younger years when they were in good shape.
