Fischer X17 binding questions.

A friend of mine is selling these bindings and they seem like they will be a really good binding for me so I want to buy them however, there is a few things I'm not sure of that I hope you can help with.
1) They look like Head Mojos/Tryola Peaks, are they the same mount patern?
2)Same thing for the brakes, do they have the same breaks?
3)If not are there any other bindings with the same breaks or mount patern?
I will be taking these bindings to france where i don't live and Having skis sent there, so I need to make sure that I will be able to get them mounted and that i can get spare breaks, as I have a habit of doing to them what there name suggests they are for and breaking them. Thanks for any help. MAd Karmaz will be dished out. =)
 
Fischer bindings are made by Tyrolia, actually they are re-painted Tyrolia bindings. So, if you need parts, Tyrolia ones will work if they are from the analogous-level Tyrolia binding.
 
You are certain of this for all fischer bindings? also what is the analogous-level binding?
 
From the Junior bindings all the way up to WC race bindings, Fischer uses Tyrolia product. Now, like any binding manufacturer, not every Fischer 12-DIN binding is built the same way and thus they will use different components, like brakes for example. If a heel design changes, make sure you get the correct piece brake for the correct heel. This happens all the time with Rossi too.
 
sweet thanks, its just it says on the fischer site that the x17 has a non diagonal heel and on the tyrolia site i can't find one that doesn't have a diagonal heel. I also read elsewhere that they used different heels, mind you i also read that they use the same heels. So just to confirm, once and for all, If I show up at a shop that sells Head but not Fischer they will be able to mount my bindings and they will be able to at least order in brakes that will fit my bindings?
 
my friend just told me that they use the same break as mojo 12s and that is the same break mojo 15s and 18s usd t use but they changed it, can anyone confirm this?
 
I bought these bindings and had a lot of trouble finding the right brake. They do NOT have the same brake as the Mojo series. The brake you want is the LD Power wide brake.
 
They are not the same as the newest version of the bindings. My Fischer X17 07/08 use a different brake than my friends Mojo 15 08/09. When they changed the heel piece for last year, they also changed the brake.
 
Are these brakes hard to find or do you mean it was hard to find out which brake you needed? do those brakes come on any Head bindings at all?
 
I just had a difficult time finding out which one I needed. I did a google search for the LD power brake and found some for like $23. I'm not sure which Head models use that brake.
 
Awesome, yeah I just did the same thing, worked out well, I think these are gonna be some pretty sick bindings!
