FISCHER adrenalin 16 AT binding

Is this the answer to someone who is over cleaning snow out of tracks on dukes and doesn't like the Salomon/Atomic binder?

Who's been on these? They look sick

They're rebranded Tyrolias.

I've heard good things about them - lighter than Dukes and guardians, ski down well and tour very nicely. The 12/13s apparently had similar problems to the duke for snow build up with snow getting wedged in the honeycomb pattern under the pate and needing to be cleared out with a ski pole on occasion before you can re-engage ski mode. I've heard this would be addressed for 13/14 with some covering of the honeycomb pattern but not 100% if that transpired or not. Overall it looks to be a solid offering, i'm looking to get a pair for my new skis rather than Dukes or Guardians..

I played around with one, stiffer than a duke, lighter than a guardian. If I was buying this type of binding it would likely be the tyrolia/fischer/4frnt

Great bindings...Don't wanna look silly but i don't like the way you can unlock the bindings (pretty difficult if you compare a duke or a guardian)

Just my opinion btw...I choose de duke for my skis

But one of my friends get the adrenalin (4frnt) he seems stoke on it!

Really? They are so easy. Especially compared to the guardians i can never get those open with a pole. As you use the lock more and more on the adrenalin it gets smoother to open, especially with your hands. When you first get them they are impossible to open with your hands.I used them last year and i loved them. Coming from the barons you def notice you are lower to the ski, and my least favorite part about the barons was pulling the lock back down to get back into ski mode. If you have even a little bit of snow i found it difficult.

I would choose this binding now over Duke/Guardian etc. The bottom of the part under your boots has an open structure. You want to seal that if you dont want snow built up in there..

I've been using a pair..they're pretty sick actually

I've found for what they are they're pretty light on the up which is a plus (compared to like a duke or guardian)

yes they get snow built up where they lock back in place but there's an easy solution..you just kick your leg a few times to have the binding make contact with the baseplate and it shakes all the snow out..from there you simply press your pole down on the locking mechanism and boom your locked in...pick your leg up in the air after that and rip your skin off that sucker...do the same process on the other leg, fold the skins up and throw them in your coat and you're ready to ski without taking them off!

The going down aint too bad either ;)

here's a little run on them back in april

we didn't sell a whole lot of these, (adrenalines) but the couple that came back for warrunty both broke on the plastic pro heel track @ the teeth interface to the gray rear base plate. def the weak part of the system. they were early in the season during a couple week cold snap of sub zero weather and at least one of them snapped on dp on the down

plastics seem more susptible to becoming brittle

and the weight reduction from other non tech binders seems plastic based

tyros have always been good to me and I think this is a good product

for non cooliad drinkers

Had about give pairs (out of the twelve we sold) come back broken or pre-releasing from the heel lock. What we discovered was the plastic shim that slides into place to lock the binding would wear down and become loose and wiggle around until it would pop open (same problem that we saw with the guardian, yes even the thirteen din version we were demoing). We did see two of them come back with broken plastic pieces all from damage done while hiking instead of riding down the hill.

I demoed a pair for a short tour and they were all right. It would be nice if they had one more angle on that stand, and I agree they arent the crazy easiest things to change from walk mode (easier than the f12's) but still ice buildup is also a problem with these or any non-tech touring binding for that matter.

I am spoiled having Fritchis and F12's and prefer the frits for real tours and f12's for inbounds b.s. But I am a small dude.

If you are lighter and not doing much touring these are a comparable option to the duke / guardian. Personally I am not the biggest fan of the guardian or this adrenaline. Marker or Fritschi are still your best options in my book.

got my first day on adrenalin 16's today skiing inbounds at stevens pass. handled everything i threw at them. the lock is definitely more secure than the fritchis (which can have lateral play when laying a ski over). skied guardians last season and was super stoked on that. i did notice some wear on the heel lock plate where the screws are located, looks like they were starting to bite into the plastic. overall i'm pretty stoked on them, no sliding marker track and can accommodate both DIN and tech soles (big ++). we'll see how they hold up with all that plastic...
