So this was my first ever big time half pipe event I've attended and it didnt dissapoint. Perfect pipe, perfect weather, and of course perfect riding from all the athletes. The girls killed it Angeli Van Laneen took it on the girls side throwing perfect 5's on both walls head high the whole way, with a nice cork 7 at the bottom to finish it off. As for the boys, Kevin Rolland came out swinging with a first hit Whiskey flip into giant 5 into giant 9 into giant flat oop 7. His training partner Xavier Bertoni claimed 2nd with an X-games'esq run ending with a crazy 1260 that didnt look like it was going to come around but somehow it did. 3rd was claimed by relative unknown Walter Wood! Good ole colorado native taking first hit 1260's at least 15ft out and ending with a competition first, a 1440!
props to all who threw it down, the crowd was more then stoked.

I was in the start watching the whole day, and it went off. I knew it was World Cup so it would be decent, but I didn't know how stacked the field was until the other day. Super sick riding out of everyone, Rolland fucking crushed it and Xavier's run was also real sick. Mike Riddle and Colby also had real dirty runs but did not podium. ^And like you said the girls were also stepping it up. Brita threw stomped flairs with some height, Angi did left 5 to right 5 boosting on both hits, Kim Sharp threw a 9, Siena did a sick alley-oop flat 5, Megan Gunning was boosting the whole day. All in all a damn impressive comp from both the guys and girls and sick to see an ill comp even with FIS involved.
