First time hitting urban

So my friends and i have never hit urban before. we have been wondering around this summer looking for some sick spots and we are looking into getting a banshee... this question may sound dumb but should you wax handrails before jibbing them?

you can if you want, just take one of those 10cent candles and scrape it all over the rail. doesnt make a huge difference imo but i used candles to wax my summer setup and it felt a lil bit smoother i geuss
