First thread, brand new to freeskiing

This is my first post here and i'm just starting skiing after snowboarding for 12 years. some of the stuff skiers do is nuts. i dont really know why i'm post just kinda want to get a feeling for skiing. does being a snowboarder or an aggressive skater translate at all ? i guess thats it or if you wanna talk about your starts in park skiing.

When you start to get good at skiing I would like to know if it is easier or harder in the air, I bet some people could answer that now though. Anyway, I'm not really even sure what you are asking.

If you were any good at snow boarding it should carry over. My friends brother snowboarded for a few years, then did a ten on his third day on skis.

i switched from snowboarding to skiing in the middle of february and i love it i had never skiied before so it took me a day of riding the bunny hill before i could start hitting the easy features in the park. stick with it man and you will be decent after just a month

As for skiing, I would think some snowboarding stuff will carry over, and inline definitely helps and translates to skiing.

i guess i'm asking does snowboarding for a long ass time translate to skiing, like can i take any thing ive learned from snowboardin and use it in skiing? and thanks biggiesmalls haha

And inline def does translate, I did skiing to inline a few years ago, and it was very smooth, until I got injured and it scared the shit out of me.

nice man i just started skiing this year as well form boarding many years, i can now do rails any box small spins 180 360 working on 270 off so its fun man keep it up and remember its mostly commitment it seems like.

well when i switched over i just felt it was easier to progress because i already had some rail and air sense from snowboarding i was able to do stuf on skis that took me years to do on my snowboard shitty explaination i know but i just felt progression was much much quicker because i had already been on rails boxes and jumps you body is just kind of use to it already but that was just my experience

why's that? ive only boarded park and powder since i was 12. i have etiquette and wont pizza up to a box eat shit and stay there, i just wanna sk park because thats all i really know
