We'll, last night November 8th Kyle and I made our first snow! We were blowing for between 2 and 3 hours. We got about an inch of snow over a really big area (20' x 10'). When we gathered it all up and made an inrun we were ready! It was super fast and we FLEW off the jumps. Too bad we only have a really little hill. Anyways, here are some pictures. I've shrunken these.

we're going for session number 2 tonight! hehe, maybe i'll try to throw some spins... the jump is a little small for that though. meh, glad you enjoyed the pics!

I need to know how you make that much. It looked like there was a ton of water spraying out in a beam with the mist. Is that true or is that just how the picture makes it look? I was gonna make an inrun with my friend at 12 or 1 am last night but we decided we probly needed more snow. What PSI was the compressor putting out and about how much was the air valve opened? My compressor was only putting out 38-40 PSI and I had the air valve about 3/4 open. My water valve was hardly open at all. Only maybe 1/8 or less. Does it sound like I need more air?

One more thing I just noticed. Should snow be coming out of the gun or should that just be the mist? On mine the mist would slowly float around an a kind of circular motion just about the tarp.

I got real snow fallin down from the skies right now!! I was just thinking of ways of making my own snow because it's so damn cold when I looked outside and saw that it was snowing!

SkiRoundtop, I think you need some more air from the soudns of things. No water really comes out of the gun. It's just a really fine mist that blows/drifts around. It dosnt turn into snow unill a little bit later as it floats to the ground. You should be able to open your water valve lots more if you want to be able to blow a lot of snow. I think the air is your problem

my compessor puts out betwen 30 and 50 ACTUAL psi when it's in the middle of blowing snow.

Steve, does this mean your going to have lots of videos up on GH soon?

-Jason

Good idea Jason....

Yeah,

He should say something like this to his friend when being confronted about the air compressor after he has had it for 4 years,

'What are you talking about???? I never borrowed an air compressor from you... I don't even know you!'

HAHAHAHA

Dude, it flurried! I was driving home from school and I saw our first snow flakes of the season and started screaming! :) The kid I was giving a ride home to was like uh, woah, calm down - you're wierd.

well, tiff, you are pretty weird.... but we still love ya!!

haha, i saw the flurries too!! It was extreme. Then i ran home and turned on the blower and only wet mist was coming out. I was so dissapointed. But then i watched 1242 and it was all better!

Yeah Jason,

I have done that before but if it is snowing in the day like that then the humidity is pretty high and when you have high humidity it has to be about 25 degrees. To make snow....

Daniel

yeah, it was snowing because it was much colder up in the sky than it was below.. If i blew off of my roof 60 feet up I probably could have made snow.. Too bad I only have a 50ft air hoes, and there were 70 mph winds.

-Jason

Oh well... I can't wait to the really cold weather. I saw on the news that the ski resourts in NC have been making snow and plan to open next weekend.
