First Ski Edit

better song to start. better camera work, make it less shakey. also, the editing was kinda weird with the fact that the actual skiing started about a minute in. take out a bit of the runway and landing of the jumps too, no one wants to see you get speed for a jump/ rail. skiing wise, get those grabs, and keep having fun.

There we go

Way to much slow mo, shaky shots, and out of focus. Music sucked but thats my opinion, others might like it. I probably wouldnt put shots in that you didnt ride away from (the two 720s where you slid on your back) The beginning was boring IMO. Skiing was decent.

Not bad for a first ski edit, just keep pumping them out and before you know it you'll have some legit crap on your hands lol

dont show him crashing, and make it less shakey. you need alot more footage than that and I would cut out the car ride except for like maybe 10 secs. Keep working you'll get it

I would also like to add that a good edit needs better rhythm this doesnt mean you need to use rap music you just need to follow the tempo and changes of the song a little better .

work on keeping the cam steady. and don't use falls unless they are funny or just burly. keep them coming.

are those bonfire pants? i have the same ones i think.

as far as the video is concerned, don't feel like you have to make it as long as the song, maybe chop the song a bit so you dont need so much filler in the video, like the 3's over and over and the car ride part. the skiing wasnt bad though, just needs a little more work in the editing department.

pretty much what everyone else said, but also the long fade transitions between clips could be shortened/used less

Skiing was good imo. Nice tries on the cork 7s and pretty little fronties.I would add some grabs and more switch spins(the switch 5s were pretty nice but some tweaked switch 3s would be nice too). You're in the midwest obviously so I think you should do some more rails to add a little variety. Don't use linkin park. I prefer edits with songs I've never heard before or relatively unknown songs. When you use a song on the radio people might focus more on it than your skiing.

1. your intro was way too fucking long.

2. Dont use shitty shots, e.g. shakey, too zoom in/not zoomed in enough. only put an edit online when you actually have good shots to use or else people will just hate on it. Make edits to practice, but don't always put them online.

3. tripod, asap. even if its a 10 dollar one from walmart, just do it.

4. dont use slow motion when you don't know how to do it. it looks terrible.

5. choose a song that appeals to skiing more, not something you jam out to after school

He speaks the truth.

The whole car ride intro was long and boring, a lot of the shots were too dark and the song was just fucking horrible. If you were to invest in a tripod that would improve a lot of your filming, also try using different angles rather then standing next to the jump.

you got your tricks down, but get a new song, less shaky camera and just a little bit more steeze

As everyone else said, work on the cam, but unless you plan to send it in to companies, it really shouldn't matter if the grabs aren't there, small jumps (you cant really prevent this if your hill doesn't have big jumps), etc. Edits are for fun, keep workin on your skiing, keep making edits and have a good time. Thats what its really about.

Yea ik those jumps were small but hey my hill doesn't have any big jumps but i'm working on making a 60 footer which should be sick any advice cause once i make it idk how much speed i'm gonna need it's like halfway done

the camera was wayyyyy too shaky

not the right song (my opinion)

you spent a 1/3 of the movie in a car and a chairlift

and dont put yourself falling, unless you put it in the credits or something as a gag

the camera went in and out of focus a couple times as well, which was annoying

just keep it up and work off everyones suggestions, and remember its ur video, so do it how YOU want it

Are you looking for feedback on the skiing or editing?

Skiing-Not bad man, keep working.

Editing-Practice makes perfect. Not everything needs to go online. Practice editing old footy when you're bored. Choose a better song. It doesn't have to be some gangsta shit, just something with noticeable beats, that fits skiing a little bit better.
