instead of using useless analogies that don't apply, why don't you realize that pretty much every skate film that has ever been made (yes, even professional big-name brand movies, who would've thought!) uses fisheye...sooo explain what a mainstream cinematographer's view has to do with skate filming, and why you think they'd have that sort of input on a skate film, which has nothing to do with their line of work. in fact there are other reasons why fisheye is useful (i.e. making things look bigger, keeping the skater in the frame during followcams, etc.). my honest opinion is that fisheye looks bad for skiing, so i can see where eheath gets his opinion but this is skateboarding, not skiing.
