title says it,

ive always played soccer and this year im doing both and kicking for football. tonight is the first practice and i have no idea what to expect.

all info i have is that its helmets only. haha

You will probably be sore.

Being a kicker though you probably won't be getting hit or have to be doing line drill shit. At least at my school kickers didn't have to.

mental mental mental. although you say you're only kicking theres not much to learn expect a dropped PAT or something. so you'll be fine. Alot of sprints

expect to get in very close contact with other guys you would never get that close to other wise

you're going to stand around and kick. and kick some more. and then maybe a little kicking on the side. you'll only be asked to participate with the rest of the team on special teams practice. no one expects you to hit anyone, just get in the way. you're going to be coddled by your kicking coach (if you have one) and probably be ignored by the rest of them.

have fun watching everyone else suffer and kill themselves while you stroll around and kick.

try to make friends with everyone and stay out of the way, because any and every time you fuck up it will be 100X easier than if you were a prick. it's very easy to get mad at the kicker.

(see: Reed, Jeff)

Best advice I can give for a kicker is try to learn and dont be a pussy. You wont be hitting so dont worry about that till you put pads on.

re-reading my post above^^ that sounded a bit condescending and ill-willed toward kickers. i'm not, that's just the way it is. go have fun, and good luck.

just work on kicking, and try to make friends, not enemies. You'll probably do a lot of running but if you're playing soccer you'll probably be ahead of the game anyways. Good luck, have fun

don't miss a big kick

it's highschool so you probably won't be kicking that many field goals anyway, just PATs

maybe a little harsh but pretty much this. kickers don't really participate in any of the hitting drill. you'll probably just kick and run and run some special teams plays

Expect an uncomfortable garter, tired body and a very homosexual locker room,

and every day it will get smellier and a little gayer (trust me on this one)

have fun!

your soccer practice will be harder, if your playing both then you prob wont come to practice till the end. and only have to kick a few field goals. it will be easy just get on everyones goodside and the coaches. good luck

This post is a good example of why you have no karma.

Kickers at my school just sit around and kick. They don't run at all other than the occasional special teams drills/plays. I know this because I play soccer and we run the track while the meatheads have their practices.

yea, as a kicker you won't do a whole lot, unless they are going to want you to play different positions too

they might do some stuff like "if you miss this kick the whole team does 50 pushups" or something like that, but as a kicker, nothing will be too hard

You're prolly already at practice or just getting out but it's basically just you kicking field goals and PAT's.

Just remember to cover your cock, there was this gay as FUCK grade 13 that thought it was funny to flick kids in the dick.
