Skiers went quad first but this is still pretty sick. PS for those of you who don't follow tricking, this is as big a deal for them as quad cork was for us on skis

Apparently you don't know what a quad cork is. That was a single corked spin, dummy.

So a quad as in a 1440? I confused.

The names for flips in ticking are arguably much smarter and better than in freeskiing. A dub 10 would be called a cork in, backflip out, because thats fundamentally what it is. one cork7 is just called a cork. The coeficient before the cork is just the number of full rotations in the cork. so a cork 1080 is a double cork and so on.

yea that was just a single cork 14. i was thinking just a quad back full at first, but it is off axis.

So by that logic the video showed a cork 2160..?

Apples to oranges comparison really doesn't help this. It's cool but it really sets people up to expect something different which is stupid.

I'm not saying the names should be changed but if you're posting on a skiing site it should be obvious that people might be thinking something else regarding the term "quad cork".

I don't care what's a smarter trick name or whatever what's his face was talking about just what a name has you thinking.

This video makes me want to get back into figure skating.

You're a fucking idiot. How is calling a cork spin smarter than calling it a cork 720 which states the axis and rotation? Go jerk off your gym rat frat bros and leave this shit in the trash where it belongs.

double corks don't involve backflips so why would it be called that

what if you're doing a cork 5? or a cork 3? would you say cork 0.5 or a cork 0? -1??

this is fruity ice dancing terminology

Their celebration was the fruitiest thing I have ever seen

Well dude it was a risky maneuver. If he landed wrong he could have gotten a sprained ankle. BIG UPS

The only injury obtainable in this sport is a torn rectum from the celebratory bung sex afterward.

Also Tricking is a thing already, its when you suck dinker for crack money down on the corner.

At the same time, there is no way in hell I could do this, but that doesn't mean I have any respect for it.

also i thought this was called tumbling

Nah bro, its like completely different because their "tricks" are done slightly different on a tumbling floor and they have stupid fucking names for their "tricks".

I bet the hardest part about tricking is telling your parents you are gay
