FIRST EVER “DUST OFF YOUR STUFF CLINICS FOR

WHISTLER BLACKCOMB PASSHOLDERS AND SEA TO SKY RESIDENTS

WHISTLER, Canada, November 29, 2004: The learning curve for learning curves never peaks. With that in mind, ski and snowboard instructors at Whistler Blackcomb are offering season passholders, Edge cardholders and Sea to Sky residents the first ever early season half-day clinics for $20.

“Many of our locals and season passholders have been skiing and riding for years, but you’re never too good to improve, says Otto Kamstra, General Manager for the Adult Ski And Snowboard School. “We thought we’d drop the half-day lesson price from $89 to $20 early in the season to give locals a quick technical tune-up at a very affordable price.

The “Dust Off Your Stuff clinics will be offered to intermediate or better skiers and snowboarders from December 3rd to the 6th (Friday to Monday). All clinics will be held on Whistler, starting at 10am or 1pm.

Clinics will be tailored to the interests and ability of the group, which will include no more than eight people. Depending on the group, the clinic may focus on fine-tuning technique, mastering bumps, exploring nooks and crannies, or learning how to hit features in the park.

“Good habits start early, and if you do one of these clinics, you will take away at least one tip to focus on to improve your skiing or riding, says Kamstra.

As with all Whistler Blackcomb lessons and clinics, participants get lift line priority.

Locals and passholders booking into the clinics can also check out the latest high performance skis and snowboards for just $10. Some gear options to choose from include Salomon, Head, Atomic and Burton.

Space is limited and clinics must be pre-booked by calling 1-800-766-0449 or locally at 604-932-3434.

Whistler Blackcomb has been a proud supporter and sponsor of Newschoolers for quite some time now.

We just want to give you guys the goods with park updates and let you know about special events & deals.

If you have any feedback you'd like to share with us (positive or negative)please send us a message.

Funny how when I click on your rather large logo, which appears just at the right eye level, on every single screen I'm taken directly to the whistlerblackcomb home page where I am presented with the ''Fluff off your stuff'' nonsense on the very first page.

Whistlerblackcomb does an awesome job, and its my favorite place to ski. But advertising in a pretty ghetto forum is really annoying... if its some 16 year old trying to sell his chessey ski footage of Ontario park Comps, with overplayed punk and hiphop tunes for 20$ , its kind of annoying. But you're a multimillion dollar company so that makes it really annoying.

I'm pretty sure this gives them the right to do what they want.

Especially if it involves giving us a heads up. Intrawest can afford to advertise anywhere they want. Why would they waste time making a post in some regional forum thats read by relativly few people? I highly doubt this post was profit motivated. Relax and take it as what it is, just letting us know whats goin on.

But, you can always fall back on your degree in... Communications! Oh, dear Lord!

I know! Is phony major. Lubchenko learn nothing. Nothing!

Our greatest glory consists not in never falling. But in rising every time we fall.

I'd rather have an intrawest ad up here than another fucking unpaid for ad by liberty skis, masquerading as a legitimate post. Besides, this kind of advertising is effective. I'm surprised we haven't seen more of it.

Bahahaha... or, you could call it the 'elitist snob' cult. Anyways, my family already owns a country club, so no thanks.

yeah mckeeman is prolly a good call not to talk smack on the 'corporation' i remember the last time you did and nothing good came of it. They post write feedback for new ideas for the mountain improvment yet never follow through with some key ideas, for instance ropetow blackcomb halfpipe. too much focus on weekend warriors $$$ not enough on the people who make this town run.
