First edit of summer!

Black's looked a tiny bit under exposed and the whites looked a bit over exposed. Other than that the skiing was on point, joey is so good! Good song choice too.

i actually really liked the audio comin in and out. it was different!

also makes me so stoked for my month filming for COC

Fuck you michael blatt!Fuck you and your lifestyle!

Fuck you and your camera!

hahaha kid at the end was hilarious

solid edit man! really liked the vibrant blues, awesome sound choice, classic smooth glidecam. great job!

song was awesome! filming seemed smooth and really sharp! skiing was really good, i liked how the edit wasnt to long, just long enough to keep me interested, the only thing i saw is that the blue's seemed super vivid, not a bad thing, just one thing i picked up on, really solid edit

as i said to you already mike, the audio going in and out REALLY bugged me, but im also pretty anal about it.

really? i didnt bother me in the sense that is was different. i guess i like different, something that no one really does/does well. which i think the audio was fairly crisp minus the fact you can hear you skiing. agree to disagree eh

Nice. The music was really chill for a change (from pretty much any other edit) and the skiing was unreal. That kid has some SERIOUS style.

i actually think quite a few filmmakers use that technique, it's just that when it's done perfectly you don't even notice it.

i like the idea mike, but i think the song needed to be louder relative to the skiing to make it more subtle.

I'm with Evan, the audio definitely bugged me. I also thought a lot of the shots were slightly too wide. With such an open slope, there's nothing to fill that negative space...

Loved the vibe; the song was perfect, and the pace of the editing was perfect to make me feel like I was right there shredding with you guys. Good edit, made me smile and miss skiing.

The audio sorta got to me as well. Buy a video mic, toss a deadcat on, and getting good audio becomes so easy.

Also on the fast forward transitions, I think some of them were a tad fast/abrupt. If they are a bit slower, then you keep the rider's flow going.

Also screw you. Those shots were very similar to the set I filmed with him earlier this week. You got every trick I did...

I was noticing this, especially at Hood where there's no trees or anything.

Really great glide shots, almost too good... what I mean by that is that the last two shots, of the down bar and flat down, didn't seem to fit with the rest. They were a lot more static, and I think could have used some movement or been done from a different angle (especially the last one). I got used to the nice follow shots throughout, and then those last two felt off.

Great work overall, awesome job on the minimal slow mo, it had a great vibe.

Thanks for all of the awesome critiques and comments so far guys!

In regards to the fading in/out of sound comment, I totally agree. Here's the video/audio I was trying to emulate:

Bobby Brown // 5 Runs With Bobby from UA MTN on Vimeo.

And Mr. Krieger, I do own a videomic (and deadcat for it), but I hate using it on a glidecam since it just tilts over the entire setup because it's too top heavy and acts as a sail. The last shot did involve a videomic though.

And in case anyone's wondering, The person at the end was A4 (Anders Fornelius, aka Ders)

Once again, thanks for watching/critiquing everyone!

The audio was a but of a mess. You could have gotten away with it if the song was louder, but it really stuck out. Everything else was sick though.
