First double!!1!!111!!!!

Most fun I've ever had in the air. ever.

Today I built a jump and hucked my first double, it was a double rodeo 1080, I didnt land it, but I got the rotation around.

This season I did my first rodeo, and have been doing them ever since, going upside down on skis is just awesome so I thought if doing one flip was fun, two would be funner, and fuck yeah it was.

Pretty scary though, I'm gonna do it again in a few days when theres new snow and get it on film, pretty stoked

I think its funny that the biggest spin I can do is a 720, and I've only done it once, and ive never been good with style. So I decided that hucking might be my true calling, and since then ive had more fun on my skis than ever before. Considering building a bigger jump and trying a triple, I don't care much for landing, as long as I dont get hurt.

Anyone else try a double or an invert for the first time recently?

Pretty fun right?

Haha, sounds like youve just felt the rush of jumping for the first time. You should find a big jump with lots and lots of snow and just send it, itll be a good time and you won't get hurt. Good luck.

lol haters gonna hate, you shoudl definitely try bigger spin before, unnat spin, every flip and then when youre comfy doing all this stuff, try a dub... but hey, thats just my opinion.

Bigger spins arent fun

inb4 aerials

I like freesking cause I can throw tricks in interesting ways, drop y shoulder and a different moment and get a completely feeling

Soon enough

How hard is it to believe I build a pretty big jump with a fresh landing and threw a rodeo about twice as hard as I normally would, and so, did a double?

that's just how I see skiing... I'd rather learn how to do a 9,unnat 9 with all the grabs, leading grabs and tweaking instead of a dub. I'm not the kind of "areal" if you know what I mean.

lolfuckingwut? are YOU trying to impress somebody with your dub? lolno so dont bs me with grabs.

I know you probably don't give a fuck about comp but not being able to do a 7 in a comp is pretty shitty. Your dub won't get you far but whatever, I told you that was my opinion and I respect yours. peace

and I doubt that you did a dub rod 10, it's actually pretty rare to see a dub rod 10 not switch. but who knows...

The difference between you and aerials is that at least in aerials there's a long, logical, and safe progression before doing double and triple flips. You're just sending it. Stay safe I guess

It's not really even the on snow aerial progression. It is mostly just their gymnastic background. A ton of aerialists can't ski for their life. They are gymnasts for life who were recruited and taught to ski straight and land.

They learn all their stuff before when they were gymnasts. Much safer than just hucking doubles and triples. They always know exactly where they are and how far they flipped in the air.

I threw dub cork 10 once... Stoked I landed it but would much rather throw some like switch 7's or unatty 5's

in no way should anybody double before they can do all four 7's and like switch 10 with atleast 2 grabs. Hucking dubs before getting a lot of jumping experience is how you hurt yourself.

wow.... I'm workin on my 5's.. Congrats man. Gotta have some serious kahonees to just huck that.

With that in mind.. Be careful

I am serious

Progressing in a non conventional way isn't exactly dumb

Who are you to tell me what is right or wrong? This is freeskiing after all, isn't it?

I don't have a coach for a reason...

Go for triple dude! It's basically same than 1080, you go around 3 times. Huck it to hard snow, and we have another freeskier tragedy. But if you feel more comfortable with dubs, go ahead. Do whatever you feel like

Hahahah what? Who made up that rule? So much for "freeskiing." Now you have to learn tricks in a certain order to please NS. Sorry, OP. Better learn more spins before you start trying dubs. We all know that being able to spin 7 both ways is a key ingredient to every dub!

Not hating, just giving my opinion. Even if he is hucking into pow there is a likelihood that he will get hurt if he lands wrong with his body super torqued from trying to spin something that his body is not ready for. But each to their own
