First attempt at a long edit, let me know what you think

Thats was sick! here's what you guys could work on (IMO) for your next long edit/ short fim:

-11 minutes is really long for an edit of footy mostly from the same park, try having some segments that aren't at your home moutain or different. Maybe try to hit a few other parks during the winter, film a few street spots, get some funky forest shots on powder days, etc.

-For a long edit/ short movie I like seeing an intro, even if it's just 30 seconds of broll with the title "Ontario tape" dropping somewhere

-Some shots were shaky and sometimes over exposed, nothing dramatic but thats something you guys could work on a bit.

Overall good job tho, really creative skiing and a nice variety of musical styles, keep it up!

okay. i do not think 11 minutes is too long. That being said, some 11 minute long edits feel like 4 minutes.

What is good:

Skiing, sound, music

Needs work:

Filming is really shaky, some shots are awful, it feels like you just put all these shots together without REALLY editing them..

You could cut this down to 3-4 minutes of good shots.

Also, if the shots were cut up more, if would go faster and feel better.

YOU NEED B ROLL.

SHOOT MORE B ROLL, You need a solid b roll intro and stuff thrown about in the video. 11 Minutes of skiing is painful to watch if it is shakey, unedited, and has no b roll.

Yeah, this was just footage from our 4 day trip to mslm but were definetly trying to stack some urban shots as well as more park from our home hills. I realize now now the lack of intro is kind of awkward, but I always forget to film B-roll stuff, which is definitely a weak point in my edit making I plan on working on. As for the shaky footage, I just got a glidecam and still have a lot to learn for sure. Thsi was my first edit skiing fast with it, and doing a lot of follows but I plan on practicing and getting better at it.

Thanks for the feedback guys!!
