Firefox question

I have Firefox 1.5.0.4 and just updated Quicktime to 7.1....When ever I click on a video thats a MPG, it plays as a Quicktime file...It dosen't open the actual player, it plays in Firefox...So i'm trying to get it to open in Windows Media Player but it won't work even after messing with all of the file types in prefrences...In Internet Exploror it works fine and it use to be fine in Firefox until I updated Quicktime...Anyone know how I can fix this?

When you say you messed with the file types, did you mess with the ones in Firefox or in Quicktime and Windows Media Player? You most likely have to change them in the two media players in order to get them to switch.
