Hi all, I entered a ski/ filmmaking constest with VCharette called the coors light mountain challenge at saint sauveur. Our concept was to make a 3D ski film so here it is. It is about 40% 3d so even if you dont have any glasses, you can still apreciate a good edit. For those with red/cyan glasses, it is important to put the red glass on the left eye for the video to work. enjoy and leave some feedback about the tricks, editing and the 3d effect!

i took a pair of clear glasses and put red and blue sharpie on each side. didnt work. i think ur video is defective bro

no I assure you its not, If you had the proper glasses, it would have worked. We were not sure if the sharpie trick would work, I guess it doesnt

I hate to say it but it didn't work for me all i see is a ghost version behind the other shot. + i have the 3D glasses

yea same here, I think that the red and cyan layers are displaced a little to far...

Check out the USC Ski Teams video for a good example of how close they should be

The problem with red/cyan 3D technology on a computer monitor, is that most monitors aren't color-calibrated identically. In fact, very very few are accurately calibrated. My monitors are slightly more blue-tinted than they should be, so I couldn't see much of the 3D effect, but even without the 3D it was a sick edit. I'm stoked you guys are working on the technology, and I'll have to find a better calibrated monitor to watch this edit on. Glad you got that GoPro.

the end shots dont seem to have that problem... Im going to try and fix the first shots that dont work by bringing them closer together
